how it works
Perhaps you’ve heard about similar initiatives, such as 100 Men/Women Who Care. If so, great - you already understand what we are trying to achieve. If not, please consider joining to learn more! What’s different about BIGs Who Care though is its exclusive dedication to Big Brothers Big Sisters. We believe in the power of mentoring and the potential of young people in the communities of Halton, Hamilton and Grand Erie, which is why we’re excited to launch this new initiative.
Join Us
By becoming a member of BIGs Who Care, you are making a commitment to attend four meetings per year, either in-person (preferred) or virtually. There, you will hear directly from an individual whose life has been transformed and positively impacted by their experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters. We know you’ll be inspired!
Donate
Each member commits to donating $100 per meeting, four times a year. Meetings are 60 minutes in length, and a great opportunity to network and connect with other like-minded community members who have a passion for giving and community impact.
The Meetings
Member meetings are the best way for you to hear directly from Big Brothers Big Sisters and how its programs have a lasting impact on the lives of young people. You’ll also hear directly from volunteer mentors, alumni, young people, parents/caregivers and others who have a story to share about how BBBS supported their healthy development and helped them reach their full potential.
